WCE have participated in several Wolverhampton Grand Theatre Panto Projects. Members from beginners to experts have created wonderful textile pieces in workshops delivered by Heath House Studios. Everyone's work has been included in these large scale Community Art Projects . . .
The Magic Carpet - Wolverhampton Creative Embroiderers created patches for a huge patchwork carpet. 19 more Participant Groups also took part and the whole collection was stitched together.
Jack and the Beanstalk - Heath House Studios created a 2 storey high Giant for the main stairwell at WGT. WCE made part of the Giant's decorated jacket and trousers. Members also made wonderfully decorative leaves and vines for the beanstalk and also some delightful - and scary - wildlife for the verdant scene.
Paving the Way - WCE created parts of the scene showing the journey made by Dick Whittington from ark gothic London Bridge to bright exotic lands. Here there was a market stall displaying ornate slippers, intricately decorated vases and other fine wares.
